How it all began…
Whisk & Fold started in 2016 as a baking channel to share the love of baking through recipe videos on social media. Our tried-and-tasted recipes not only looked good, but proved easy to follow and received many positive reviews from those who have tried them. Over the years, we gained a combined following of over 60,000 fans across our YouTube channel, Facebook page and Instagram account. Our co-founder and chief baker Chef Magdalene See, also gained a reputation amongst fans and clients for her creative and reliable recipes that work.
Over the years, we have received numerous requests for orders from followers who like watching our videos but do not bake. So we decided to launch our home-based online bake shop to share the joy of baking with those who love to eat more than bake! We do not accept orders by request but you can certainly order what is available on the menu of our Bake Shop.
We launched our signature Magma Cakes in July 2021 to rave reviews. The Chocolate Magma Cake was sold out in less than 48 hours at our first launch and subsequent months. Since then, we've launched many other popular flavours such as Matcha, Raspberry, and our latest Salted Caramel magma cakes.
To make it easy for you to try our cakes, islandwide delivery is available at a flat rate of $12 per location. Self-collection from West Coast area is also possible.

Creating new desserts and recipes in the kitchen studio
My love for baking started with a love for eating desserts. My childhood was filled with sweet memories of family trips to the ice-cream parlour for sundaes on Sundays, buying freshly baked bread and donuts from the neighbourhood bakery, and ordering cheesecakes and brownies whenever we ate at Western restaurants. My first experience baking is also one of my fondest childhood memories — making chocolate chip cookies with my Mom using my Grandmother’s antique oven. Till today, the smells from my oven wafting through my home bring much joy and comfort to me. Many of the recipes that I share are recipes that are well-loved in my home and I hope you will love it too.
Working with award-winning French Chef Thierry Busset
As a teenager, I remember teaching myself how to bake more seriously through cookbooks (YouTube wasn’t invented yet!) and experimented with whatever I could bake out of a cheap countertop oven. My passion for baking grew and grew, culminating in my enrolment in professional pastry school at the Northwest Culinary Academy of Vancouver, Canada. After graduating top of the class with a Professional Diploma in Pastry and Bread in 2011, I went on to work at the city’s best patisserie ‘Thierry’ under award-winning French Chef Thierry Busset, whom Chef Gordon Ramsay calls “one of the finest pastry chefs in the world.” Working in Thierry was one of the happiest times of my life and gave me the invaluable experience of working in a fast-paced professional kitchen.
Hosting the World Chocolate Master's Singapore Selection
Before pursuing my passion in baking, I was working as an actress and host. Upon coming back to Singapore, I wanted to combine my working experience as a TV presenter and event host with my new-found knowledge in food to become a food presenter and host for food-related events. I count it my blessing to have interviewed Michelin-starred Chefs while hosting cooking demos and culinary competitions. I also hosted my own cooking series ‘Homemade by Mag’ on Food For Life TV before creating Whisk & Fold – a baking channel featuring my tried-and-tasted recipes and now a bakeshop featuring my handmade creations. Through it all, I hope to share the same joy and comfort that I find from baking and eating desserts with you!
